Sony Cut Down $40 of PSP's retail Price

Sony PlayStation have recently released and statement regarding their most anticipated PlayStation Portable device, that it will be dropping its price by $40 to $129.99 from its regular price of $169.99. It was almost twenty-five percent off that brings the PSP at the similar retail price level of Nintendo DS Lite portable gaming console.



The cut down price of the PSP is effective starting on February 27. Meanwhile the PSP Entertainment Packs, will be purchased for only $159.99. The said drop down price is only effective for PSP-3000 models. The later version or rather model of PSP which is the PSP Go will stick around at its usual $190 price level.

I think Sony decided to adjust the price of PSP 3000 for the NGP launch which will be scheduled for later this year. The Sony recently launched the new Xperia Play which is actually a merge of Sony Ericsson Xperia Smart Phone and PSP gaming device.
